Beginning the journey towards fitness for women

Fitness is a major concern among many women today, and although it is sometimes left in the back burner and barely addressed. Bad health can cost a lot in the future, if it is not taken care of by having a proper fitness routine in your life.   1. Safety is the biggest priority:

  • Drink lots of water and stay hydrated
  • Keep a track of the heart rate

  • Some amount of discomfort is always present when you begin your regime. But if it persists, or if you are suffering from severe pain, it’s better to consult your doctor

 Prepare your mind:

Kicking off an exercise regime can be difficult on the body as well as the mind. It takes some time to adjust to a sudden change in your lifestyle. However, you can avoid this dilemma with some simple tips:

  • Schedule a time for your workout session. Convince yourself that you are doing it for your good health, to improve your stamina, to be a good role model to those who look up to you, or just to fit into a dress you want to wear. A fitness regime without motivation always leads to failure.
  • Set some achievable goals for yourself. In the beginning, only aim for improving your overall fitness and health. This stops you from beating yourself up at boot camp. Once you see some improvements, you can take the next step and set your goals even further.
  • There will be some days when you don’t feel like working out. But you need to get up and work out regardless of what you feel. Exercise releases endorphins, which boost your energy level and give you a high. So whatever blues you might be feeling in the beginning will disappear soon after you start working out

 Never forget to stretch:

Stretching is one of the most essential parts of a woman’s workout. Stretching your muscles before a workout ensures that you don’t get hurt during it. Stretching your muscles ensures that your muscles don’t become sore later. Remember while you stretch, you need to hold your position for around twenty to thirty seconds.
