Hello my darling campers,
First, let me start by saying how very proud I am of all of you. The west side ladies are working out very hard. Today was one of the hottest day of this summer but they made it look like they didn’t even noticed the heat. By the end of this camp between the heat and the intense ab workouts you are going to be looking and feeling like a super star.
What can I say about my east side campers… You inspire me to wake up each day. You are my fuel and a true testament of commitment. I hope you enjoyed the hike today as much as we enjoyed it last week.
I have been thinking a lot about each of you as a person and there is one thing you all have in common… you are a busy woman!
Busy, busy, busy! Women today feel busier than ever. They work, take care of the kids and try to cram as many activities as possible into each 24 hour period. When something has to give, it’s often the workout that gets put on the back burner.
You probably know the cycle: You feel overwhelmed, so you skip a workout. After a few days, you don’t even think about working out anymore. Then, you realize how lousy you feel because you haven’t been working out. Suddenly, it’s even more difficult to get everything done, because you feel lousy because you haven’t been working out!
This vicious cycle is, however, easily broken. Here are a few tips to help busy women get in a daily (or at least a few times a week) workout.
Make it a Priority
I’ve noticed that some women who are very busy make time for watching favorite shows and having drinks and dinner with friends. Of course, there is nothing wrong with those activities, but working out has to take a place of priority in your life. Try to get the mindset that it is the one thing that will NOT be compromised.
You’re important! If you make working out a priority, then you’ll feel better, look better and have more energy to complete all of the other necessary tasks.
Get Up a Little Earlier
I really mean “a little”. Even if you get up just a half an hour earlier than usual, that will give you time to do 20 minutes of cardio and 10 minutes of strength training. Even that small step can make a big difference.
Of course, if you do that, you’ll start to feel so much better that you may even start getting up earlier to get in a more substantial workout!
Don’t Think of it as “Work”
When you get your hair done or go shopping for a new outfit, you probably don’t look at it like a chore. That’s because you know that it’s going to help you look your best. Let me tell you that working out can do more to help you look your best than any outfit or hairstyle could ever do!
Working out is fun! It makes you feel better, look better and have more self-confidence. Sure, getting motivated can be challenging at first, but much of that is a mindset. Remember, working out is fun, and it’s something you’re doing for yourself.
Come to a Boot Camp
Yes, coming to a boot camp can help you change your perspective about working out. We will show you how much fun it can be as well as give you a taste of how great you’ll feel after a good workout.
You will quickly be addicted, and won’t be able to live without your workout.
Attending a boot camp will help you learn techniques for working out as well as give you the confidence to know that you CAN do it.
Sure, we’re all busy, but if we’ve got to cut something, it shouldn’t be the thing that is most important to our health and well-being.
